What's Happening Thurs 5/27 - Cricut Fonts - CTMH Artbooking

Welcome to What's Happening Thursday. I'm Melissa, nickname "Sunshine HoneyBee", an independent Close To My Heart CTMH Consultant/Maker, and I want to share what's happening on Thursday.

 What's Happening Thurs 5/27:

 1. Cricut Close To My Heart (CTMH) Artbooking

Cricut had an upgrade. 

On my laptop version prior to upgrade was 6.7.201 and new version is 6.9.163. Reason for upgrade included something called Kerned Fonts (will research this more & explain in a different post in future) & Security Improvement. 

Several people including myself could not get Cricut to work last night when it upgraded. It would not accept my password & would not allow me to change. After 3 hours I was able to get it to function. 

Had to clear out my Cricut Work Folder Cache (had 2 files in it, if you do not know how to do this contact me & I can step you thru it, Cricut Design Space no longer uses your browser so clearing laptop cache & history does not help), load the new version of Design Space from Cricut.com, force reload (this is done by clicking on View at top of Design Space screen and then clicking on force reload), log out of Design Space, restart my laptop & then start up Design Space. 

Cricut indicated that problem was due to a 3rd party server being down and they were working on it. 

Design Space came up this morning for me.

Accessing Fonts is a bit different with this new version.

Follow the screenshots to access Fonts on Cricut CTMH Artbooking

 

Enter Design Space, click on Text on left

 

 Click on Font at top of screen

You will see All (in green color), followed by System, Cricut

You will see check mark by Kerned Fonts

 

Turn off Kerned Fonts by clicking on checkmark (you will see checkmark disappear), Select Cricut (you will see it in green color), Type in Artbooking & press enter

 

Type in your text in Text box

 

 

 

 

Text will appear in Design Space area
