Lady Jane USA Card

Created this USA Card using Stitchy Bear Lady Jane digi I had won.

Used Kraft americana cardstock to complement the vintage nostalgia look of Lady Jane. Used Spellbinders die cuts for layers & tag. Used Crayola pencil colors for coloring digi.

Used liquid Pearls for pearl necklace. I'm not the best liquid Pearls crafter; thus this gives me this entry into a challenge that theme is to do something on your card that you're afraid of.

Photographed the card with 2 of my favorite TY Bears. The one wearing the United Kingdom flag was given to me by an Internet friend that lives in the UK.

Child's Play Summer Beach Sand Bucket ATC

Created this ATC with Child's Play Summer theme in mind. When I grew up E coast of FL I liked playing in the sand on the beach.

Stamped bucket on tan cardstock & again on red cardstock.
Cut out the red bucket below the sand part & paper pieced it onto the tan cardstock over the stamped image on the tan cardstock.

Distressed teared the two pieces of tan cardstock by hand to give more of a 3D beach sand look. Added liquid Pearls to sand in bucket. Added ribbon.

Grad Card for a Child

Created this Graduation Card for a young child.

Used From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge for the Gingerbread Cookie. Used Locker Talk Cricut cartridge for the Graduation Hat.

Used a new technique that I saw someone on Internet do which is to split the twine that comes with two different colors twisted together to get 1 color. I split the yellow from the white to use the yellow as the tassel on the Graduation Hat.

For embellishment I use wiggly eyes, red Stickles, buttons, gems & star punch.

Used a Spellbinders die for the banner to stamp whimsy sentiment on.

Locker Talk 2" Grad Hat

Patriotic Mickey Mouse Card

Some of you may not know but I worked for the Mouse as in Mickey Mouse at Disney World in FL thru high school & college. Worked in Borden Ice Cream Shop at end of Main Street and in the Silver Smith shop in Liberty Square. Popular ice cream flavors then were Pistachio. In the Silver Smith shop we polished the silver & Spoon Rings were popular then. Does anyone else remember Spoon Rings? Was a fun job even with the cleanup that was involved in the ice cream shop at closing time. I did not have a car so I carpooled with friends and we split gas cost.

Created this patriotic Mickey Mouse card using a couple new & different techniques to me. One different technique is to color an embossed image with Tim Holtz Distress Inks using more than one color. Have done this before using one color so I challenged myself to use more than one color. Masked off part not to be colored. Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink: barn door and faded jeans. Another new technique is to use paper piercing on the tag. Used Tim Holtz ruler that has paper piercing holes. Another new to me was to use 3+ layers.

Used Mickey & Friends Cricut cartridge for Mickey Mouse head. Used Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge for Uncle Sam hat. Used white glitter on stars & red Stickles on Uncle Sam hat.

Used Kraft americana cardstock for blue base & red layer.

Used a Spellbinders die cut for tag. Stamped sentiment on tag. Used Tim Holtz ruler with paper piercing holes. Used ribbon.

Butterfly Card

Created this Butterfly Card using Hero Arts Sizzix stamp & die cut set Flowers & Butterflies. I did not use the stamp part of the set. Instead I used some Butterfly scrapbook paper & for die cutting the Butterflies & cut outs on cardstock layer of the card. Attached the scrapbook paper Butterflies to the cut out cardstock Butterfly for more sturdiness. Used Martha Stewart scoring board to score the Butterflies so they would be 3D pop up Butterflies.

Have a sunny birthday Sunflower Card

Created this birthday card using Hero Arts Sizzix stamp & die cut set. Challenged myself to use felt for 3D dimension to die cut with and it cut just fine with my Sizzix BIGkick.

I die cutted the flowers & then stamped them. I find it easier to do it in this order. The directions indicate to stamp & then die cut. I found that my die cut moves whether or not I tape it down so I prefer to die cut & then stamp.

Used glitter on the Sunflower. Used a new Spellbinders banner die cut I bought at JoAnns that was 50% off and had military id for addl 20% discount. Used edge scissors to cut felt to resemble grassI have a couple of these scissors & rarely use. Added LadyBug ribbon for whimsy & LadyBugs are meant to bring good luck.

Hardest part of making this card was using foam adhesive on the felt. Whenever I would put the foam adhesive on and then have to peel the paper off the foam adhesive would stick to me and not stay on the felt. Tried using tweezers but that did not make it any easier. Just had to go slow at it and keep my patience to get it done when the sticking & non-sticking occurred.

Photographed this Sunflower in our backyard couple years ago. See if you can see the bzzz Bee on the Sunflower that was a neat photo surprise.

LadyBug photographed on my cucumber plant. LadyBugs are meant to bring good luck. I ck the cucumber plant daily and the LadyBug is still there. The day I first saw & photographed the LadyBug I saw 2 LadyBugs but do not see the 2nd LadyBug often.

After Saying "I Do" Wedding Scrapbook Layout

Created this Clean & Simple (CAS), whimsy/fun wedding scrapbook layout with photo from the bridal party after the couple said "I Do" at hubby's niece's wedding we attended in O'ahu Hawaii in Mar 2012.

Used new Spellbinders dies for flourishes that I bought at JoAnns 50% off and had military id (hubby was in Air Force during Vietnam War) for addl 20% off.

Wanted to challenge myself to use the wedding phrase "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." My old is the Fiskars corner rounder. My new are the Spellbinders flourish dies. My something borrowed is photographing the action photo that the professional photographer had them perform and I caught the action of the 2 on the far right jumping with both feet off the ground. My something blue is the blue sky in the photo & light blue on the water of the beach scrapbook paper.

Memorial Day Train Card

Created this Memorial Day Card using Mark's Finest Papers clear Train stamp I had bought last wk. Received the stamps I bought along with Flamingos on Vacation clear stamp set I had won in a blog hop they had. Used a Studio112 clear stamp for USA sentiment. Stamped the train image & sentiment using VersaMark. Used Marvy heat tool & black embossing powder. Tried it with silver embossing powder and on white cardstock but liked the black embossed image on the dark blue the best. Card base is 4" x 4" which is just enough for adding ribbon & 2 white glitter stars I punched.
