Created this Clean & Simple CAS Valentine for my hubby. Snoopy & Bee sentiment lend themselves to black & white colors. For the heart-shaped paper I scanned some SandyLion Peanuts Gang scrapbook paper that is red & black, changed it to black & white, saved black & white image, printed and used Spellbinder Heart die for heart-shape. Stamped sentiment on front & stamped Snoopy on inside.

Kids Heart-Shaped Valentine Card using a Spellbinder
heart die.The Heart-shaped
Valentine 2 heart pieces are cut with Spellbinder largest Classic
Heart die, each heart piece is scored at the top at 3 1/2", red tape adhesive
is added above the score line on inside piece, the red tape is peeled off and then the 2 heart pieces are attached together.
Used craftsmart stamps for the sentiment & LadyBug.
Tried
a new to me way of using washi tape. Placed strip of washi tape on an
index card (cardstock can be used also) which gives it sturdiness, 2nd
strip added above 1st strip, punched a shape out using a Stampin' Up
heart punch, and used dots adhesive on back to attach the heart shape
with washi tape on it to project.
Added
ribbon and used a strip of washi tape to hold it in place. I've found
that over time some of my washi tape on projects has peeled up at the
ends. In order to prevent the ends from peeling up I used red tape
adhesive over the ribbon before placing the washi tape on and this seems
to hold the washi tape in place at the ends better. Has anyone else had
the problem of the washi tape peeling up & what have you done to
prevent this?

Heart-Shaped Valentine Card using a Spellbinder
heart die. Learned a new way to make a
Heart-shaped Valentine. Cut the 2 heart pieces with Spellbinder largest Classic Heart die, score each heart piece top at 3 1/2", add red tape adhesive above the score line on inside piece, peel back the red tape and then attach the 2 heart pieces together.
Used pre-colored Doodle Pantry digi, Cupid Turtle, digi sentument & digi papers. Cut the digi & sentument out with Spellbinder Heart die. Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink tumbled glass on edges. Added stickles to one of the digi arrows. Added heart buttons & ribbon. Added lace made into a bow.

Created this Clean & Simple CAS Heart-Shaped Valentine Card using a Spellbinder heart die, craftsmart stamp & Scribbles by Sandy digi, Hedgehog. Colored the digi with Crayola pencil colors. Fussy cut the digi out with my fav Tim Holtz scissors which make for all the spikes of this Hedgehog so much easier to cut.
My daughter likes Hedgehogs so I'll be sending her this Valentine.
When
you use the Spellbinder die to make a shaped card you do it in 2
passes. First pass you place the top acryllic cutting plate but leave
the top part of the heart curve uncovered for side of card. Second pass
you lift the die off the paper and place on opposite side lining up
where the uncut curve is and again place the top acrylic cutting place
leaving the top part of heart curve uncovered.

I like heart-shapes & Whales. My diamond engagement ring is heart-shaped. I've enjoyed seeing & photographing whales on a Whale-Watching Boat Trip outside of Gloucester, Boston, Sitka, Alaska & on a helicopter ride from Maui to Molokai, Hawaii.
