When I saw the Kitty in the basket and yarn images in the digi I decided I had to get out my scraps of yarn. I crochet and keep a jar of yarn scraps. Made a Get Well Card using shades of purple. Printed the Kitty digi on Kraft, brown, purple & multiple times on white cardstock. TIP: Paper pieced the digi. Cut out the basket from Kraft cardtstock. From different prints of the Kitty on white cardstock I cut out the Kitty, hair bow & mittens. Reason for multiple cuts on white cardstock was so I could give dimension without using foam to the Kitty, hair bow & mittens on to the purple cardstock. The basket was layered for dimension using Kraft cardstock & another brown cardstock on to the purple cardstock.
Used Spellbinders die cuts for the layers and for the banner tag that the sentiment is stamped on.
Used VersaMark & Stamp N Plus Velvet lavender chalk on the mittens & the kitty's bow. Used a gold pen for the knitting needles. Used a pink pen for the Kitty's inside ears areas. Added buttons. Stamped sentiment 'Hugs in a letter to make you feel better'
on the banner tag.
