Went with the chalk board look as my inspiration for this card. The use of the white ink on the US Map looked like snow to me.

Woodpecker A Little birdie Told Me Card

Created this card using a Floppy Latte's Digital Designs digi, Woodpecker, I selected for team & I for One Stitch At A Time DT Challenge #178 Anything Goes.

My fav animals are Pandas, Cheetahs, dogs & Birds. I like listening, watching & photographing birds. I enjoyed watching & photographing a nest of Robins in a Mini Magnolia Tree in my backyard near my bedroom window. Saw & photographed the 3 eggs, eggs hatch, eyes not open, eyes open, being fed by Parent Robins, photographed 1st one that flew out of nest and next day photographed the other 2 that flew out of the nest. You can see some of the Robin photos below.

Colored digi with Crayola pencil colors. Used Spellbinder Nest Classic Diamonds dies. Used the Paper Studio Birdwatcher Beauties scrapbook paper. Used Paper Trey Ink Birds of a Feather sentiment. Used Spellbinder Shape Floral Flourishes.

Have seen & heard a Red-Headed Woodpecker in a tree in our front yard and have seen & heard one in neighbor's tree in their backyard.

Up, Up & Away Hot Balloon Birthday Card

Created this Birthday Card using acetate recycled from a pkg to emboss on & Paper Trey stamps.

Was inspired by Heather's video on Beyond Paper w/ Impression Plates  in the use of Foil Tape for embossing.



The acetate is embossed with Stampin' Up Cloudy Days embossing folder. The Hot Air Balloon & Cloud sentiment tag is under the acetate.

Was inspired by Heather's video on Beyond Paper w/ Impression Plates  in the use of Foil Tape for embossing.

Used Paper trey Ink Road Trip stamps.


Used 2 pieces of foil tape in embossing Tim Holtz Travel Signs.

Used a strip of patterned scrapbook paper to thread thru the sentiment tag.

Distressed the edges with Tim Holtz paper distresser & TH Distress Ink.

Yes, I'm again making a 6" x 6" scrapbook layout
& enjoying doing so.

Plano, which is in Central TX, where I live has
an annual Hot Air Balloon Fesitval. I enjoy watching
& photographing the Hot Air Balloons.

The bottom left photo is of a Texas flag hot air balloon
at what is called the Dawn Patrol which takes place at
6am the morning of the the first lift off of the rest of the
hot air balloons.

The top right photo is of the City of Plano hot air balloon
after it lifted off at 7am.
