Created this Halloween Pumpkin scrapbook layout using photo of this year's, 2013 Halloween Pumpkin, my hubby carved. Used a sketch for scrapbook layout that you can see below.
First, a photo of the 2013 Halloween Pumpkin to see if you can guess who it is:
Hubby decided to carve the name of the pumpkin. He scanned the letter patterns & cut them out. Then he asked me if I had any adhesive that could be used to put the letters on a straight line. I lined up the letters on a straight line for first name & for last name. Then he scanned the letters for stencil pattern and carved them on the pumpkin.
Most of you know I'm a big fan of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow which hubby has carved in prior years. When hubby asked me what I wanted carved for this yr I asked him if he knew of a pattern for Sweeney Todd. I did not want Tonto because of all Johnny Depp movies, Lone Ranger & also Dark Shadows were not my JD favs.
Used silver stripe glittered on black paper to resemble the colors that Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd wore in the movie. Used white lace distressed with Tim Holtz weathered wood to give the look of the white sleeves that Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd wore. Used TH Apothecary Bottle die & cut 1 piece recycling plastic & 1 piece from Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered cardstock that I distressed with TH sander & Distress Ink walnut stain. Used same TH die to cut bottle stopper using cork & bottle label.
Used TH Odds & Ends sentiment ticket that I fussy cut outw/ of course my TH scissors. Used studio g 31st stamp for Apothecary Bottle label.
My wonderful hubby w/ pumpkin before he carved the letters.
