Swallowtail Love Artwork

Made this artwork to display on easel like shown in photo below.  I love all things Butterfly.

Found that I still have some current Stampin' Up (SU) products. Neat how when one goes to clean they find things they have that they had forgotten about.

Stamped the SU Swallowtail on Whisper White cardstock using SU Basic Black ink. The MISTI tool (non SU) is a big help for stamping large stamps like this, making sure all areas were inked & stamped. I layered the SU cardstock: Cherry Cobbler (base - for a Valentine/Love color), Basic Black (mat) & Whisper White. Punched some hearts using an SU heart punch and used SU dimensionals to pop them up for dimension.

TH Mar 2015 Spring Butterfly Tag

This is my version of the Tim Holtz March 2015 Tag.

I used a mix of Tim Holtz items & other items I had on hand. You can see items used in Supplies List below.

I used a Stampin' Up SwallowTail stamp. 

Used TH Cargo Layering Stencil, texture paste & Gold embossing powder.

On parts of the paste & gold embossing powder areas that were white from the embossing powder coming off I used Wink of Stella Gold pen for touchup. Thought this gave it more of a finished distressed look. 

Stamped a Hero Arts sentiment. 

Used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die to cut out sentiment. Used burlap & twine. Inked edges of sentiment tag & burlap with Tim Holtz Distress Ink walnut stain. 

Added a star charm to complement the star in the sentiment. Inked star charm with Delicata Golden Glitz ink to give the star silver finish a gold look.
