#2 Pirate Treasure Bday Card

I found my Spellbinder dies. I knew that the Spellbinder dies I use most often were in an Artbin container with magnetic inserts. I recalled putting the Artbin container into a Rubbermaid container when I was picking up cleaning/organizing. So, I made the card using a Spellbinder circle die and added orange ink to give the card a different look. You can see first card by clicking here.

Used a Spellbinder circle die. Top left is a full circle and bottom left is a partial circle with part of the circle bottom missing. Used orange ink on near circle areas for highlight. One blue cardstock shows thru the top circle & other blue shows thru the bottom circle. Stamped & die cut the Pirate Ship twice; once on brown wood pattern cardstock for ship bottom and other on white cardstock for ship's sails. Colored on white. Fussy cut the white to put on the brown wood pattern. Stamped, colored & die cut the treasure chest. Popped the ship & treasure chest up using foam adhesive. Stamped and cut the sentiments out with paper trimmer & scissors. Popped up the sentiments with twice the foam adhesive.

Pirate Ship Treasure Bday Card

I cannot find 2 of my circle dies (one set is Spellbinder Circle dies, other is Simon Stitched Circles). Seems every time I clean/organize my craft room I cannot find some things.

Made the best of it using a Fiskars circle punch. Top left is a full circle and bottom left is a partial circle with part of the circle bottom missing. One blue cardstock shows thru the top circle & other blue shows thru the bottom circle. Stamped & die cut the Pirate Ship twice; once on brown wood pattern cardstock for ship bottom and other on white cardstock for ship's sails. Colored on white. Fussy cut the white to put on the brown wood pattern. Stamped, colored & die cut the treasure chest. Popped the ship & treasure chest up using foam adhesive. Stamped and cut the sentiments out with paper trimmer & scissors. Popped up the sentiments with twice the foam adhesive.

Yo ho ho Thanks matey Tag

Got my creativity on by creating this Tag with a Thank You Pirate theme scene.

Stamped a muse studio Pirate boy, sentiment & Pirate ship. Colored the Pirate boy. Added calligraphy 'Thanks' to sentiment.

Embossed a Palm Tree with couple of cardstocks, cut out & paper pieced together.

To add dimension: I hand tore some cardstock for sand & water, used fabric/material & used cork.

Used fabric/material: yellow felt for the sun made using a Stampin' Up circle punch & tan felt for the coconuts on the Palm Tree made using the Crop-A-Dile punch. 

Used cork for stamping the Pirate ship on & fussy cutting it out.

Added twine.

3D Pirate Ship Halloween Box

Created this 3D box using Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge with a Pirate Ship theme.

Photographed next to 2007 styrofoam Pirate Ship pumpkin hubby carved. Hubby finished the 2013 styrofoam pumpkin and I like it & will show it off on Halloween so ck back then.

Vinyl Pirate Ship Candy Container

When Fantabulous Cricut posted the blog hop/challenge to use vinyl I thought oh no. Then I found the vinyl I had rcvd from Cricut in a shipment that was not for me and I yes I did phone them & let them know & they told me to keep it. Well, it is white magnetic vinyl and requires the deep cut blade which I thought I had one of but cannot find so perhaps it is somewhere in my craft room not to be found easily or I did not have one at all. Then I found the black vinyl I had bought along with some white & blue and never used.

So, the Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow fan I am decided to make a Clean & Simple CAS creation using the black vinyl.

Used Life's A Party Cricut cartridge to make the Pirate ship. I used blade setting 6 and pressure 2 for a "kiss cut" so I would not have to use the transfer tape. It cut on the first try. Carefully removed the image and the recycled medicine/pill container was becoming a Pirate candy container.

Stamped K Andrew Designs Pirate Tales & Fish Scales sentiment on Avery all-purpose label.

Filled with Hershey candy and tied off with appropriate black & white glitter skull ribbon.

Now, I'm ready to try another vinyl project.

Happy Birthday matey Card

Created this Pirate Card S Fold Card with amuse studio Buried Treasure stamp set.

Used embossing on the Twinchies which in case you do not know are 2" squares. Used faux stitching on the sentiment tag banner. Used gold stickles on the treasure chest on inside of card. Added a wobble on back of Pirate Ship black square.
