Flowers & Bees HoneyPot Tag - Hero Arts BeesFlowers, HoneyPot, Honeycomb Fancy

Made this Tag using Hero Arts Jan Kit.

Cut the honeypot using blue cardstock and the die made the pot fragile with all the cuts/slits. So to give sturdiness and have cut lines be more like ridge lines on outside of honey pot I used a piece of cardboard. Before die cutting the honey pot I used adhesive to attach the cardboard onto the blue cardstock and when I cut using my Sizzix BIGkick the honeypot had the look I wanted it to have.

Cut some Bees & Flowers and arranged.

Used some gold glitter, marker (tri-blend green) and shimmer pens for color & sparkle look.

Used Tim Holtz sander for distressed look of honeycomb.

Supplies

cardstock/paper: blue coor'dinations, yellows coor'dinations,

Kraft pattern - honeycomb

CTMH: Shimmer pen - clear, gold

glitter: studio g gold

Hero Arts: die - Honeycomb Fancy, Honey Pot,

Bees & Flowers

machine: Sizzix BIGkick

marker: Spectrum Noir TriBlend Light Green LG1, LG3, LG5

other: cardboard (on back of blue coor'dinations cardstock

ribbon: blue

Tim Holtz: die - Tag Distress Ink - black soot, tool - sander

Tip Thurs 1/21 - Shimmer Pens - HeroArts Jan2021Kit+ - Valentine - Bees

Welcome to Tip Thursday. I'm Melissa, nickname "Sunshine HoneyBee", an independent Close To My Heart CTMH Consultant/Maker, and I want to share some tips I have learned in a weekly tutorial named Tip on Thursday.

Today, I want to show you how Shimmer Pens can add sparkle/shine.

Used CTMH Shimmer Pens (Clear & Lemonade). When you order CTMH Shimmer Pens they come in a plastic bag. The top of the pen has a color and to id the pen you can get creative or simply use a black Sharpie pen to write the color name on the white body of the pen. When using the pen for the first time you will need to squeeze the pen where indicated on body and use a plastic lid or some such to allow the ink to start flow and not make a mess. You can see below after coloring Bee with markers and using Shimmer pens as well as using Shimmer pens alone.

I used Hero Arts Jan Kit (Bees & sentiment) as well as the Get Them All Jan 2021: background stamp & hexagon dies.
