Enjoyed seeing Ringo & All Star Band Nov. 3, 2017 at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX. Won tickets from KLUV 98.7 radio station. The concert venue was new and this was the first rock concert there. The concert venue is small just like I like for a more intimate setting. Ringo brought along other musical performers that toured with him & then returned to their groups like Santana & Toto. Photography at concert was allowed as long as no flash and so I used my small digital camera.
I like vinyl records, have mine from my younger days & have acquired others from places like Half Price Books and a vinyl record store in Dallas named Forever Young. My hubby bought the turntable from Fry's (recently learned that Fry's stores closed) years ago.
Made the drums using Cricut Quarter Note cartridge.
Supplies
calligraphy: handwrote the info on tickets
cardstock/paper: black, white foil - gold, silver
glitter - gold photo paper pattern - music notes, stars
Cricut: cartridge - Quarter Note - drums (removed a swirl
design on drum)
machine - Cricut Explore Air
other: 2 brads (gold, silver)
Tim Holtz: die - Ticket

super memorabilia card you created Melissa - like the turn table too!
ReplyDeleteOne of my fav concerts since the venue is small and you are not far from the stage no matter where seats are.

nice memories! I did not see this tour, but I sure thought about it. With all we have been through I won't be staying in when there's another opportunity. I sould like I never see a show...thank goodness I celebrated my 50th with over 100 shows in 2019!!! So I really can't complain. I have tickets to a show in April outdoors in Florida. can't wait. Anyway love this drum set!

Like live concerts but not wanting to be in front row because you end up standing since everyone else is standing and much prefer the small venue like this and would return for more concerts there. I use to go to outdoor concerts in Florida when younger like Rolling Stones, Eagles, Jimmy Buffet & more.

This is a perfect layout for that picture. The gold really sets off those drums.
ReplyDeleteRingo is quite the entertainer and I did not know that until I saw him in concert.

Sounds like a fantastic concert and your project is a great way to recollect the moment! I know we will all be so excited to see live music again after this past year. The gold foil really showcases the drum cut!
