Tiger Eyes Happy Birthday Card - MFP Simple Salutations Ch#17 Cat Wild or Domestic

I created this Clean & Simple CAS style Birthday card for Mark's Finest Papers Challenge#17 Cat - Wild or Domestic. I'm not fond of domestic cats but really like wild cats.

Have a quote that I do not know who it is by to go with this:
"Beautiful People do not wear Beautiful Furs, only Beautiful Animals wear Beautiful Furs."

Photographed at Dallas Zoo 10/16/12. Have enjoyed being members of the Dallas Zoo for 20+ yrs. Enjoyed a wonderful morning at the Dallas Zoo when hubby took a couple days off from work last wk. When we first went to the Tiger area one Tiger was laying down & we did not see the second Tiger. We came back before leaving and I got some wonderful photos of one of the Tigers walking around their natural habitat area.

  1. Hi Melissa - Love your card. I like the picture and the paper! The gems top it off! I am not fond of CATS at all - OK, the wild kind are OK - by not domestic cats - that is another story. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving me the correcting about PPT- Words cannot express my gratitude for you informing of this error. I so appreciate it very much. I am trying to find a system to keep track of all my card entries - that is a chore - but I think I will take your idea of putting the start and ending dates on my blog. That will probably help me! Thanks a bunch again for telling me about the error- what you did is what a true friend would do I was not offended - I was so relieved! Changes were made this morning! Have a great week! Gail - Michigan - snow is coming --- brrr!

    1. Gail, You're welcome. I'm glad you took the correction in a non-offensive manner. I keep a notebook of my challenges and yes the dates are a big help. I also use the abbrevs 'unlim' if the challenge allows unlimited entries and 'lim2', 'lim3', 'lim5' if there is a limit to # of entries so I can keep track of mulitple entries that have a limit. Temps here in Central TX were in 40s but now back up in 60s-70s so Halloween here will not be freezing like your snowy weather coming your way.

p.s. I checked out your daughter's sketch of the cheetah and left a comment on that post. I am not sure what happens when you don't have comment moderation, do you still see all the comments even if they are on older posts?

  6. Nice simple card so glad you could share it with us at Lexi's Creations this fortnight! I'm afraid I'm the opposite in my feline likes as I love domestic cats and have no fondness for the wild ones, well except for maybe the bobcat:O)
