Valentine Teddy Bear Wiggly Wire Heart Shaped Card Treat Holder

This BEE has been Bzzz. I created this
Valentine Teddy Bear Wiggly Wire Heart
Shaped Card Treat Holder for a child and
figured I could not go wrong by adding a
lollipop.

Used the George and Basic Shapes Cricut
cartridge & Gypsy to make the Heart shaped
card welding a 4 1/2" heart together. Making
it a welded shaped card made it perfect for
a treat holder for the lollipop. The back of the
heart can be written on.

The Valentine Teddy Bear is a Papercrafting
World PCW file that was from Day 4 of the 12
Days of Christmas that Cooking With Cricut had
last yr 2011. There is a non-colored version & a
colored version. I chose to use the colored version.

Stamped Happy Valentine's Day on the heart that
the Teddy Bear is holding.

Added embellishments: blue gems for Teddy Bear
eyes (thought the blue eyes looked better than white
for a more girl Teddy Bear look, could have added a
hair ribbon but maybe for next one I will), pink glitter
heart to the heart that the Teddy Bear is holding and
3 white button hearts on the front of card/treat holder.

Used a Spellbinders heart die & cut the XOXO
paper for pattern paper on front of red heart.

Wrapped lollipop in a silver/red wrapper recycling
a Dove chocolate Truffle wrapper. Taped the wrapper
securely around the lollipop.

Cut a "Hugs" (it's for a child & rest of tickets are
for adults) ticket from the Paper Studio Love Tickets
paper and used a white ribbon to attach it to the
wrapped lollipop. Back of ticket can be written on.

The wiggly wire idea comes from Amy of Love
to Crop. Ck out her blog to find out more:
Getting Cricky Tuesday Tutorial -- Wiggle It

For the wiggly wire I only had 20 gauge floral
wire and it was not easy to twist so I found a
pen in my junk drawer (everyone has a junk
drawer don't they?) that no longer would write
and this was because there was no more ink
inside or the ink had dried up and not because
I took the wire out.
Heehee. Used heart shapes
for the pieces to
put the wire through after all it's
a Valentine card. Learned that strong adhesive
is very important. I used red double-sided tape.
The adhesive needs to seal the edges of the
shaped pieces or the pieces will separate.
Found it easier to put the adhesive on the side
of the shaped piece that will be attached to
the figure to be wiggled & to the piece's side that
will be attached to the card itself before attaching
the wiggly wire to the figure.

Added embellishments: blue gems for Teddy Bear
eyes (thought the blue eyes looked better than white
for a more girl Teddy Bear look, could have added a
hair ribbon but maybe for next one I will), pink glitter
heart to the heart that the Teddy Bear is holding.
