Christmas Emb Train with Snowflake Cutout Card

Created these Christmas Cards using Mark's Finest Papers (MFP) Train Talk stamp set. Four are for the swap at Speedy TV for mth of Jul. Made 5 so I have one to keep.

Base is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Kraft cardstock. Front layer is 5 1/4" x 4" Paper Studio Vintage Blue Snowflake scrapbook paper. When die cutting you need to use adhesive not just on the 4 edges of the paper but also on the center. Used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Snowflake Wonder die cut. Cut out snowflake will be sent with the card & can be used as a tree decoration. Used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Twenty-Two with Kraft cardstock. Stamped the Train image onto the Kraft cardstock using VersaMark. Heat embossed the Train image using Stampendous Stamp n Stuff Kaleidoscope Transparent embossing powder & Marvy heat tool. Attached ribbon to Kraft cardstock with Train stamped heat embossed image on it. Attached the Kraft cardstock to red cardstock. Added the red layer to the inside of the card. Cut a piece of vellum paper to place on inside of card to protect the heat embossed image.

Used vellum to protect the embossed Train image on inside that you can see thru the snowflake cut out.

Removed the vellum so you can see the heat embossed Train.

    1. I ordered the Christmas Cardinal stamp set but had the idea of the embossed Train & snowflake cut out so went with it. Luckily I had another spool of the ribbon since I only had enough on one spool to make 2 cards. had no idea that the Tutorial challenge would be heat embossing which I really like; especially watching the embossed powder change with the heat.
