Created this Birthday Card with a Turtle theme in mind since I like Sea Turtles.
Used Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge for Turtle image. For sentiment I used 2 different stamp sets: K Andrew Designs Splash-tastic Summer "Fin tastic" and Whimsical Designs "Happy Birthday To You" .Used Kraft cardstock & water scrapbook paper. Tore the one edge of the Kraft cardstock strips to give it a more realistic beach sand look. Embellished with a Turtle Bead & twine.
When we were in O'ahu this past Mar for hubby's niece beach wedding we took a bus tour of the island the day before the wedding. The bus tour driver was wonderful and when he knew there were Sea Turtles along the way he stopped the bus and allowed us to get out to see the Sea Turtles. Only a few people got off the bus and I was most definitely among the ones getting off to see the Sea Turtles. There was this one Sea Turtle up on the beach sunning itself.
Can you see at least 2 Sea Turtles in the water here?

Created this 4th of July Card with the theme of a girl watching a 4th of July Parade. Used a digi from Stitchy Bear, BJ Little Bea, that I had won. Used Stand & Salute Cricut cartridge for the flag the girl is waving.
Used Kraft cardstock including regular & americana as well as scrapbook paper. Used Spellbinders dies & corner rounder for shaping the edges of the cardstock. Colored the digi using Crayola colored pencils. Used Spellbinder for tag. Heat embossed the sentiment. Added red/white/blue ribbon to the tag. For the red/white/blue flowers I colored white flowers using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Added a star button to the flag, to the center of the flowers & to the girl's shoes. Placed the flag to be waved by the girl.

Created this card with several things in mind. Wanted to use a sunny sentiment, have the sentiment be the focus & have a sun image so out came an Inkadinkado stamp I had bought some time ago but only used a couple times.
Decided to heat emboss the stamped image using gold embossing powder. Then thought why not mount it on metallic gold foil board but first I scored the metallic gold foil board criss cross to resemble the sun's rays.
The stamped image cardstock is 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and is a piece of scrap blue cardstock that is double sided and I think it is My Mind's Eye.The metallic gold foil board is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". The cloud scrapbook paper is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" My Mind's Eye Fly A Kite. The Tim Holtz broken china cardstock is 6" x 6" and compliments the blue in the cloud scrapbook paper. The base of the card is 6" x 6" white cardstock.

Created this Summer Cucumber Recipe layout using a Sweet-Sour Cucumbers with Onions tasty recipe from Spices of the World Cookbook by McCormick.
Hubby built the raised cedar veg bed with trellis. Planted 1 Cucumber plant bought at Home Depot.
Used Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge for the Cucumber die cuts. Tried to cut the one layer but too thin & it kept tearing so I made 2 without the layer out of 2 different shades of green. Used Tim Holtz paper distresser on the edges of the Cucumber die cuts to give it a more realistic bumpy Cucumber look.
Our Cucumber plant has become a Jack-in-the-Beanstalk.
Cucumber on the vine.

Created this Patriotic card using Mark's Finest Papers (MFP) Train Talk stamp set.
For the Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 113 Score Lines the Train gave me the idea to score the paper like it was a RailroadTrack. Used my Martha Stewart score board on the gray cardstock.
Used
Kraft regular cardstock, americana Kraft cardstock blue dotted, gray cardstock & scrapbook paper. The scrapbook paper has each US state. I cut out the 3 states where I have enjoyed riding on a train: Alaska, Colorado & Texas. In Alaska I have enjoyed riding a Train as part of a Royal Caribbean Land Tour from Seward Alaska to Aleyska Ski Resort. In Colorado I have enjoyed riding the Durango Silverton Train. In Texas I have the Rusk Palestine Train.
Heat
embossed the Train stamp using VersaMark & Zing Pewter
embossing powder. Was a first for me using the Pewter embossing powder.
Used Spellbinder Banner and stamped sentiment "RIDE" on the banner tag.
Used Tim Holtz Paper Distresser on all the edges except the base of the card & banner tag.
Added US Flag & ribbon
