Birthday Card - CTMH CelebrateEmbFold PartyTime

Used mostly CTMH items with CTMH Celebrate embossing folder as focal point. 

What you cannot see here is that I saved cardstock from solid pink & pattern balloons by using a die to cut out the portion that the embossing takes up and can use that for a later project. Do any of you use your dies this way so you are not wasting wonderful cardstock or pattern paper? Made the notebook some time ago and now making art journal pages inside the notebook.

Enjoyed trips to Hawaii: Maui with hubby & daughter & Oahu with hubby. In Maui we rented a car & drove the road to Hana and took a helicopter ride over Molakai & back. In Oahu we were there for hubby's niece that was getting married (was first beach wedding attended) and took a bus tour and got to tour a pineapple plantation. Both islands had wonderful looking Hibiscus of many colors.

Anyone else visited Hawaii?

What's Happening Thurs 3/4 -

Welcome to What's Happening Thursday. I'm Melissa, nickname "Sunshine HoneyBee", an independent Close To My Heart CTMH Consultant/Maker, and I want to share what's happening on Thursday.

 What's Happening Thurs 3/4:

1. Hubby got his 2nd vaccine yesterday and no reactions. I'm registered on waiting list.

2. Close To my Heart CTMH Mar-Apr catalog now available as of Mar 1.

3. Bitten By The Bug 2

Anything Goes Challenge ends 3/14

I will be hosting next challenge Mar 29 - Apr 11.

4. Had some rain past couple days but none today with temps today in the 70s.

5. Reminiscing about concerts I attended. Sharing a photo I took of the Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas, TX where I saw Art Garfunkel (without Paul Simon but had a person on instruments) Apr 11, 2014. Art Garfunkel talked to audience and sang. No photography was allowed during performance.  I won a pr of tickets from local radio station KLUV 98.7.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Has been delays in mail. I mailed couple Valentines end of Jan & Feb 1. The one mailed to FL end of Jan arrived Feb 15. Two (one to CO & another to VA) mailed Feb 1 arrived this past wk. Mailed 2/26 a St. Pat Day card & tag to FL and it arrived Mar 1.  Mailed 2/26 a bundle (St Pat Day, Easter & birthdays) of cards in a non padded envelope (padded envelopes are treated as packages with tracking # but not non-padded so no tracking #) to FL and not arrived yet. Anyone else experiencing mail issues?

Art Journal Page Spring Windows beautiful - Simon Kit SpringWindows

Made the notebook some time ago and finally got around to making an art journal page inside the notebook.

Used Simon Kit Spring Windows. Stamped, used distress markers, watercolored, die cut, added background inking to page and for word beautiful I used foam that I watercolored with same color as window shutters.
