Created this Summer Cucumber Recipe layout using a Sweet-Sour Cucumbers with Onions tasty recipe from Spices of the World Cookbook by McCormick.
Hubby built the raised cedar veg bed with trellis. Planted 1 Cucumber plant bought at Home Depot.
Used Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge for the Cucumber die cuts. Tried to cut the one layer but too thin & it kept tearing so I made 2 without the layer out of 2 different shades of green.
Used Tim Holtz paper distresser on the edges of the Cucumber die cuts to give it a more realistic bumpy Cucumber look.
Our Cucumber plant has become a
Jack-in-the-Beanstalk.

Had some for lunch and it is very good. Hubby was going to make a sour cream cucumber something but I decided to try my hand at making this. Made Parmesan-Crusted Bruschetta Chicken on Mon using a recipe from Sun newspaper coupon section that was very good and perhaps I'll have to post it.

Sounds good. Thanks for the recipe share. Did you leave out the dill? I don't see it...or did you used crushed?
ReplyDeleteThe Dill Weed is there, just not noticeable in the photo. Used all the ingredients that recipe called for and had all the ingredients. I doubled the recipe since I had more than 2 C Cucumbers. Had some for lunch today and it is very good. Normally hubby makes this and was going to make a sour cream cucumber something but I decided to try my hand at making this myself.

Yummy Yummy. I would love to start a garden just don't know how and where to start. TFS AJ~
ReplyDeleteWe have had a garden each yr for awhile. This is 1st yr hubby made the raised cedar beds to plant in. The ground here in TX is not suitable for growing in so you have to use alot of Miracle Grow soil.

Love your pics of your cucumbers on the vine! That was a gorgeous cucumber that presumably went into the delicious dish. :) Your paper crafted cucumbers look really cute at the bottom of your recipe. Thanks for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
