Kiss The Cook Father's Day Card

Used From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge for the cutting board. Stamped cutting board with 2 different sentiments: the Paper Studio 'Kiss the Cook' & Stampin' Up 'Happy Father's Day.' Used Tim Holtz stripes embossing folder on the cutting board. Used Kraft cardstock for base, scrap piece of TPC Studio scrapbook paper with herb/spice wording design to represent some of the wonderful herbs we are growing in our garden & core'dinations brown cardstock for cutting board. Added some buttons to represent the wonderful tomatoes in our garden that we've been enjoying and some ribbon.

Spaghetti Recipe Scrapbook Layout

Created some scrapbook recipe layouts for a recipe book for my daughter awhile ago and it had been quite some time since I had created any more.  

Had fun creating this scrapbook layout using one of my favorite pasta spaghetti recipes, Spaghetti Pizza. 

Used the Paper Studio Red Gingham 12" x 12" scrapbook paper as base. Used Paper Pizazz Yummy Spaghetti scrapbook paper for layer. Printed recipe on white cardstock. Used Tim Holtz Distress ink barn door on edges of recipe cardstock. Added gingham red ribbon.

Used Cricut cartridge From My Kitchen to make the spaghetti fork & pasta journal tag. Used TH Distress Ink barn door on spaghetti fork for spaghetti sauce effect. Calligraphy wrote on journal tag. Attahed journal tag with a mini gold brad.

Used a BugABoo digi, Chef Pierre Spaghetti, in upper left corner. Used liquid Pearls & Stickles on digi. Added red gingham paper apron & twine to digi. Used TH Distress Ink red barn for spaghetti sauce effect.

Pie Love You Card

Created this Pie Love You Card with theme of a bakery in mind. Used the plastic to be like a bakery window. Embossed the plastic from a Spellbinder die cut pkg with Cuttlebug Art Deco embossing folder. Used red gingham scrapbook paper & ribbon. Used From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge for the Cherry Pie image. Stamped sentiment 'Pie Love You' from Joy's Life Yummy Puns clear stamp set I won and have been using a lot for the wonderful sentiments related to food & such. The pie & sentiment with ribbon are behind the window/plastic. Added some gems to bling it up/give it sparkle. I also used red gingham scrapbook paper on inside but did not photograph it. May use this as an Anniversary Card to give to my hubby on our 29th Anniversary in Nov.

Mother's Day 2012 Flower Card

Created this Mother's Day Flower
Card using 2 different Cricut cartridges:
From My Kitchen for the teapot & Walk
in My Garden for the flowers.

Got the idea from photo inspiration at
Catch the Bug Time For a Photo Insp
Challenge.

Did some faux stitching. Used  a 
technique I found on Internet to use a
pencil first to draw the lines using an 
index card for straightness & then go 
over the lines with ink pen.

Cut the top of the teapot off to set to
the side of the teapot. Used Tim Holtz 
sander & Distress Ink on the teapot.

Cut the leaves off of the flowers. Felt 
like a Florist arranging the flowers.

Stamped 'World's Best Mother', cut 
it out, attached to a toothpick and 
inserted it amongst the flowers.

Used a studio g clear stamp for 
the ribbon award. Used a BasicGrey 
clear stamp for the Mother 
sentiment in the ribbon center.

Used Chalk-ah-lot Cafe Sky Blue 
chalk mixed with Glossy Accents and
a paint brush like that of a Stipple 
Brush to paint the ribbon award.

Added some gems for bling. Added
ribbon. Attached the ribbon award.

Today we are starting a new challenge. It is called "Food Frenzy" You are to create a card, layout, or papercraft using at least 1 food cricut cut. You can make projects like recipe cards, pages, cards, table decor, menus etc. as long as it has something food related. How easy can it be! Please no backlinks and please submit your project no later than Saturday, March 17 at 9 pm Eastern time. Any projects submitted after the time, will not count toward winning. Lets have fun!



















Had idea to create a food creation for a person
with a birthday on St. Patrick's Day. Wanted to
make the Shamrocks look like cookies on a cookie
sheet.

Used 2 different Cricut cartridges. The cookie sheet
image is on From My Kitchen. The Shamrocks are
from Designer's Calendar,

Kept the colors mostly green with exception of the shiny
silver cardstock for the cookie sheet sheet. Used Kraft
cardstock regular brown for the bottom of the Shamrock
cookie & Kraft green cardstock for the top of the Shamrock
cookie.

Made the cookies the size big enough for the stamped
sentiment to fit on them. Used foam to give the cookies 3D
dimension look on the cookie sheet

Attached the ribbon which is a recycled/reused ribbon from
a Christmas candy pkg that had a sparkle snowflake attached
to it for the right shade of green.

Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe Layout

I'm creating a Recipe book for my daughter. I've
done a cookie & pie recipe. This is a new Sweet
Potato Casserole recipe that was in the newspaper
that we made for Thanksgiving and liked alot. For
the topping it calls for crushed Corn Flakes & chopped
Pecans. I did not have Corn Flakes so I used crushed
Corn Chex and did not have Pecans so I used Walnuts.
Was yummy.
