Bon Voyage! ALOHA Card

Have a friend that is going to Hawaii on vacation that I made this for. Used Aloha Animals digi, Wally Whale. 

I've visited Maui & O'ahu and have seen Whales both times. Highlight of Maui trip was a helicopter ride from Maui to Molakai and back and I saw & photographed Whales.

I freehand scissor cut the somewhat oval shapes.

Used alphabet stamps for sentiment 'Bon Voyage!' When I cannot find the sentiment I'm looking for this works great for me.

Used stickles on the ALOHA.

All 3 of my Hibiscus plants were blooming today.

Flamingos on Vacation Summer Card

Created this Vacation Card using Mark's Finest Papers Flamingos on Vacation stamp set I had won. 

Used Masking Technique shown on their site:

This week our tutorial is from Pat Garvin and it is on Masked Center. Click on the name of the tutorial and it will bring you to that page.

Couple times I tried the Masking Technique I did not like the way it looked but I'm glad I persisted and kept at it. Added some ribbon & buttons for embellishing.

Photographed the card with our pool in the background. You can bet I had tape on the back of the card to keep it on the easel so no chance of wind would blow it into the pool. Temps here in Central TX have been 90+ and will soon be 100+ so we spend alot of time in our pool.

Did you know that a Flamingo gets its color from the food it eats?

Bon Voyage Vintage Suitcase Card

Created this Bon Voyage Card using Heritage
Cricut cartridge.

Cut the Suitcase & shadow at 3". Embossed the Suitcase.
Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Used a Travel Paper Pack.
Used some brads. Used a stamp set not used before. Did
some faux stitching on blue layer of card.
