Dory Scrapbook Layout

Created this Dory theme scrapbook layout (base 12" x 12") using my movie tickets after enjoying seeing Finding Dory movie this wk. I like Pixar animated films.

Used Cricut cartridge to make the Dory and even at 3" some of the pieces are small & delicate. Added wiggle eyes. Used Glossy accents on Dory for wet look.

Stamped & die cut octopus to represent Hank that is really a septopus (since he has 7 legs instead of 8). Stamped & die cut greenery. Stamped & die cut sentiment.

Used a Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons PPPR SVG file, Just Keep Swimming, for the sentiment. Used the negative piece of cardstock to line up the letters properly on the scrapbook page making sure I did not lose the dots for the 'i' letters in 'Swimming.'

If you've seen the film you will know that the seashells have a special meaning in the movie. Hand tore the Kraft cardstock for a texture look.

Pixar Animation Scrapbook Layout

Created this Pixar Animation scrapbook
layout using a sketch my daughter
created for me before she headed back
to college where she is a sophomore
studying Art Animation.

Before she entered college in Fall of

2010 we saw Toy Story 3 and yes I
cried and it was so appropriate since

our daughter was heading to college.

We have seen & enjoyed all the Pixar
movies. There is a sequel to Monster Inc.
in the works. Summer this yr the animated
movie is titled Brave and is a first for an

an animated girl being the lead of the
movie.

Decided to cut the Pixar character/items
in black to look like
silhouettes from the
Best of Pixar
Cricut cartridge & allow the
sketch to be the focal point of the layout.

There are 9 Pixar characters/items. See
if you can identify them and look closely to
the far right of sketch for 9th item.

Closeup of Sulley from Monster Inc.,
Violet from The Incredibles, and
Buzz Lightyear & Woody from Toy Story:

Closeup of Mike from Monster Inc.,
Nemo from Finding Nemo, and
Wall-e & Eve from WALL-E:

Sketch Artist:
My daughter who used black ink for sketching.

Her sketch idea was to have the Pixar characters
in a subway train with most of them reading a
book.

Closeup of sketch:

and if you have not figured out the 9th Pixar
item then look at the balloons on the background
paper and this represents the balloons from the
movie Up!

Disney Pixar Artwork Scrapbook Layout

Some of you may know & others may not that
I've been creating 6" x 6" albums and one that
I have created is of my daughter's artwork.

My daughter sketched a favorite of mine & hers,
Disney Pixar Wall-E, for me in 2008. My daughter
is now a sophomore in college studying Art Animation.
I think it would be so cool some day to see her name
in Disney Pixar animated film credits or some such
animation film credits.

We saw the film at the theater and have the DVD.
