Summer Sweet-Sour Cucumbers with Onions Recipe Layout

Created this Summer Cucumber Recipe layout using a Sweet-Sour Cucumbers with Onions tasty recipe from Spices of the World Cookbook by McCormick.


Hubby built the raised cedar veg bed with trellis. Planted 1 Cucumber plant bought at Home Depot.


Used Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge for the Cucumber die cuts. Tried to cut the one layer but too thin & it kept tearing so I made 2 without the layer out of 2 different shades of green.
Used Tim Holtz paper distresser on the edges of the Cucumber die cuts to give it a more realistic bumpy Cucumber look.

Our Cucumber plant has become a 
Jack-in-the-Beanstalk.

Gazebo Shaped Mother's Day Card

Created this Gazebo Shaped Mother's Day Card using Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge & my Gypsy to weld the images together. Used an off-white core'dinations cardstock for base & layer of Gazebo to give the Gazebo a an off-white marble color look. Used vellum for another layer of the Gazebo. Stamped the Mother's Day "World's Best Mother" sentiment on a tiny tag made from Kraft cardstock & Tim Holtz tiny tag die cut. Used mini circle foam & curled the flower petals to give the floral vine on the Gazebo a 3D look.

Flower Pot Shaped Thank You Card

Created this Flower Pot shaped
Thank You card using Freshly 
Picked Cricut cartridge.

Used Kraft cardstock as base for
shaped card. Used core'dinations
cardstock: green & 2 shades of yellow.
 
Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink on
the flower pot to make the Kraft
paper look more like a clay pot.

Used a ribbon from an Easter Lindt
chocolate bunny. Bought the Lindt
chocolate in an after Easter sale 50% 
off.

Used one of the cut out pieces from
the flower to stamp the Thanks 
sentiment on.

Ribbon recycled/reused from an 
Easter  Lindt chocolate bunny.

Freshly Picked Seed Packet BlueBonnets

Had a difficult time figuring what to create for the
MAG Challenge by the Page challenge that indicated
Freshly Picked Cricut cartridge page 52. Decided to
think outside the box or should I say outside & inside
the seed packet and create a seed packet for my
BlueBonnet seeds.

This past Spring the BlueBonnets that hubby & I had
planted last yr 2010 reseeded & rebloomed. This yr
we opened the seed pods after they had finished
blooming and saved them (they are in the plastic
container you see in photo to be put into the plastic
bag you see here).

Printed a photo that I photographed of the BlueBonnets
in my backyard to use as the inside panel behind the
overall cutout on the seed packet. If you look closely you
can see a BumbleBee also. The photo behind the items
is from a field in S TX that hubby & I visited a couple yrs ago
to see what a huge field of BlueBonnets looked like.
