Like Brach's Autumn Mix that has the pumpkins & 2 types of Candy Corn in it. Made this card with a Candy Corn theme. The layering stencils are fun to use with blending brushes.

Used embossing powder on base of card & CTMH shimmer pens for touch up.

Welcome to Tip Thursday. I'm Melissa, nickname "Sunshine HoneyBee", an independent Close To My Heart CTMH Consultant/Maker, and I want to share some tips I have learned in a weekly tutorial named Tip on Thursday.

Today, I want to show you how Shimmer Pens can add sparkle/shine.

Used CTMH Shimmer Pens (Clear & Lemonade). When you order CTMH Shimmer Pens they come in a plastic bag. The top of the pen has a color and to id the pen you can get creative or simply use a black Sharpie pen to write the color name on the white body of the pen. When using the pen for the first time you will need to squeeze the pen where indicated on body and use a plastic lid or some such to allow the ink to start flow and not make a mess. You can see below after coloring Bee with markers and using Shimmer pens as well as using Shimmer pens alone.

Lighthouse at the Beach Shine Bright Card

Made this card using Close To My Heart CTMH Lighthouse at the Beach Hostess Rewards stamp that is available for ordering if you hold a party (can be online party and have $150 in sales). Please see below.

Paper pieced the ground piece. Added shimmer to the top of lighthouse as well as to each window.

Made this to remind me of a wonderful trip to TyBee Island, GA. The day we went to visist the lighthouse electricity/power was off at the lighthouse but that did not hamper us. We walked to the top of the lighthouse. We also went on a tour of beach resort homes on the island that also included a sack lunch.

Watermelon Stay Cool Card

I made this card using Close To My Heart Summer Vibes which you can order (see below).

I like watermelon, especially seedless ; however when a watermelon is indicated as seedless it may have white seeds but not the black seeds. When younger I use to put salt on watermelon, do not recall why, think others were doing it; now I do not put salt on it.

Just wavin hello Turtle Slider Card

Had fun creating this interactive card. Used Lawn Fawn LF slide die & LF stamp/die. Mailed it to my Great Niece in FL.

I'm fond of Turtles. When out of college in FL I helped rescue Sea Turtles. When my daughter was younger we found a Turtle in our yard, we carried it & released it near creek area of neighborhood park. When driving along one day hubby & I saw a Turtle crossing the street, we pulled over, rescued it and released it near the creek out of harm's way of the street. When hubby & I enjoyed a trip to Maui Hawaii we took a bus tour and the bus driver knew an area where there would be huge Turtles, sure enough where he stopped we got to see a huge Turtle on the beach.

Today, Michaels had a 50% off  coupon and they do not do that all that often. Scored 3 (had coupon on my app & had forwarded a coupon to hubby's phone) packages of Copic markers (Grays, Earth & Sea/Sky) at 50% off; first store did not have Earth so hubby drove me to 2nd store.  Tried out the Earth Copics on the Turtle.

Mini Christmas Snow Globe Card

Created this Mini Christmas Snow Globe Card using Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow stamps/dies. Used CTMH Shimmer pens clear for snow and red for chimneys & Rudolph's nose.

Envelope Christmas Seals

Decided to make holiday seals for my Christmas card envelopes. Used Holiday Seals by The Stamping Village which is a set of 12 seals; the one here is by Pink & Main. Used a Spellbinder circle die to cut out the seal. Used CTMH Shimmer pens (clear & green) to add sparkle. Used Xyron Sticker tool to add adhesive to back of seal.
