Flamingo birthday card - Hero Arts 2022 JulMthKit Flamingo

 I need to practice color layering more to get better at it. I die cut the flamingo image and used the negative to line up the pieces; although not entirely successful at lining up all. Photographed with a plush Flamingo so you'll look more at the cute plush and look at card without seeing all the mistakes & look back at plush.

Summer Theme Flamingos on Vacation Emb Dry & Heat

Created this Summer Themed Card using Mark's Finest Papers Flamingos on Vacation stamp set, both dry & heat embossing and Cricut "Sun."

Base layer of card is Kraft cardstock. Layer of green is embossed with Sizzix Leaves embossing folder. Pink cardstock is cut using Spellbinders Nestie die, stamped with Flamingo and heat embossed. Cricut which I've been neglecting to use lately is used for "Sun" image from Create a Critter Cricut cartridge. "Sun" is cut using yellow cardstock and sentiment is stamped on it. Foam adhesive used for dimension on green cardstock, pink cardstock & yellow cardstock. Added bling.

Stand out in a crowd Flamingos Summer Card

Created this 'Stand out in a crowd' Flamingos Summer Card using Mark's Finest Papers Flamingos on Vacation stamp set I had won in a blog hop.

Used Cuttlebug Art Deco embossing folder. Stamped 2 Flamingos using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and center Flamingo using Memento Rose Bud ink. Stamped sentiment using Memento Rose Bud ink.

Flamingos on Vacation Summer Card

Created this Vacation Card using Mark's Finest Papers Flamingos on Vacation stamp set I had won.

This week our tutorial is from Pat Garvin and it is on Masked Center. Click on the name of the tutorial and it will bring you to that page.

Couple times I tried the Masking Technique I did not like the way it looked but I'm glad I persisted and kept at it. Added some ribbon & buttons for embellishing.

Photographed the card with our pool in the background. You can bet I had tape on the back of the card to keep it on the easel so no chance of wind would blow it into the pool. Temps here in Central TX have been 90+ and will soon be 100+ so we spend alot of time in our pool.

Did you know that a Flamingo gets its color from the food it eats?
