I like A & W Root Beer. Have had homemade Root Beer when visiting Boston Cheers restaurants. You get to keep the glass when ordering the Root Beer there; at least you did when I went, so I have a souvenier glass. Recently I tried new Blue Bell ice cream flavor Root Beer float and like it.

Butterfly Stencil Thank You Card - CTMH LayeredButterflies YouAreEnough

 Created this Butterfly Thank You card making my own stencils (used CTMH Layered Butterflies dies) and then added the stencils to top of card to cover up a tear in the pattern paper.

To make the stencils I die cut using white cardstock the outline small butterfly & the layered small butterfly. Placed the pieces of Butterflies to be stencils on the base white cardstock. With a sponge I used CTMH Smoothie ink inside & around the Butterfly stencils. With sponges I used CTMH Sundance & Sapphire inks on remaining parts of the white cardstock card base. Stamped sentiment. Had a piece of pattern cardstock leftover to frame the piece in which there was a small tear at top and thus the Butterfly stencils were then placed on the card to cover up the tear.

Tip Thursday 12/3 - CTMH Cardmaking Workshops - Hawthorn TY Card

 Welcome to Tip Thursday. I'm Melissa, nickname "Sunshine HoneyBee", an independent Close To My Heart CTMH Consultant, and I want to share some tips I have learned in a weekly tutorial named Tip on Thursday.

Hope eveyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Will continue with Tip Thursday in Dec except for Christmas Eve 12/24 (this is when I wrap presents for family) & New Year's Eve 12/31 (no I do not go out & party not even in non-Covid years, instead stay at home relax, watch tv and usually fall asleep before the ball drops in Times Square) and in Jan may do something different.

For this Tip on Thursday

I want to show you how wonderful CTMH cardmaking workshop kits are. Kits include cardstock, embellishment(s), card bases and most important of all they include directions for cutting & assembling the cards. With each kit you can make multiple cards of each designs. For the Hawthorn one using here 15 cards, 5 each of 3 designs can be made.

The card I made has several layers including using zip strip which is the top 1/2" of the cardstock (wood looking piece below the twine) and directions indicate what size & where to place. I used a different ink than Charcoal because I liked Toffee better. Colored with pencil colors. Used gold shimmer brush to give the pinecone & acorn a gold look and other parts a shine using clear shimmer brush. Inked the edges of the dies. The stamp/die set has a die that cuts the sentiment and gives you a fish tail edge.
