Ice Skate Ornament

Please check out 2020 Halloween pumpkin carving, Child Yoda, by clicking here.

When I moved to TX I took beginner ice skating lessons at an indoor mall skating rink thru the city recreation center. Enjoyed it so much I signed up & took the 2nd level which was jumps & spins.

2 years ago a person was giving the ice skates free you see below in photo that fit me wonderfully.

Made the ice skate ornament using a Cricut cartridge, Winter Woodland. Inked the edges to show some wear on the skate and added ribbon & a silver jingle bell. Hardest part was threading the ribbon thru the jingle bell. Used the Cricut pick tool to push & grab the ribbon thru the jingle bell.

  1. Skating was my favorite thing to do as a kid! One of my school friends took me skating with her several times- I have also done roller skating. The Circut skate is a charm with that cute bell!

  2. Lovely memory of your skating lessons. Aren’t you thankful the Cricut can do so many things? Preserving memories. Thanks for sharing it with us at Bitten by the Bug2. We used to skate when I was a kid but I never could jump.

  3. I love those skates as they remind me of the ones I wore growing up. It feels like it was colder then since we seemed to skate a lot more on the creek behind our house. Thanks for joining us at BBTB2.

  5. Very cute ice skating shoe tag. I love the added jingle bell. I never learned to ice skate except in my shoes in a frozen puddle, lol. I sure do enjoy watching the ice skating competitions. The skill involved is awe inspiring. Thanks for joining us at bbtb2.

  7. So cute-love the addition of the little bell! What a great memory-wish I could skate. It looks so graceful when others do it....somehow I suspect I would spend a lot of time flat on the ice, lol!
Glad you joined us at BBTB2!
