Thanksgiving Slimline Card

Please click here for Tip Thursday 11/12 Mini Stamping. Please visit during the mth of Sept - Dec. for new Tip Thursdays.

Made this Thanksgiving card using my Cricut Explore Air and Simon dies. When I started out making this card I was cutting Kraft cardstock and when I went to score & crease I noticed the cardstock was not straight. I thought I cut it incorreclty so proceeded to cut another pieces, same thing happened. Turns out the Kraft cardstock is not cut even on the 8 1/2" side. Have only used a few sheets out of packet from Hobby Lobby so wondering if they will allow me to exchange for a new pack (I do not have receipt)? Has this happened to anyone else?

  2. Very cute slim line card and I do have cardstock that isn't completely square and some are worse than others. I usually just trim it after I fold it to have the edges all even. Making them parallel or at right angles to the fold. Thanks for joining us at BBTB2.

  6. Nice card - I don't think I have ever had an uneven package - but it would be worth a try to take it in especially if you have the wrapper to show it is from their store?? I buy my Kraft by Colorbok from Walmart - I love it! It is nice and thick and around $5 for 50 sheets - they might have raised the price to $5.88 now - as some of the Colorbok sold there is now $5.88 - best Kraft I have ever purchased - I have purchased both the 12x12 [not sure how many in this size] and the 8 1/2 x 11

  8. How frustrating with the cardstock being uneven!!! I'd say try taking the package back...the worst they can say is no. Because that is just not acceptable in a product. Love the card, have seen several slimline cards lately and keep meaning to make one. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
