Anniv Flower Bloom-Shaped Cork Coaster

I've not used cork before to create with. Had bought some cork with adhesive backing quite some time ago and forgot about it.

Decided to make a coaster for my hubby for anniversary present.

Used a Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Flower Bloom-Shaped die to cut a cork piece and a piece of cardstock. Stamped a sentiment on the cardstock. Calligraphy wrote our anniversary date. Distressed the edge of the cardstock with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Used Xyron laminator to laminate the cardstock. Used SSS Flower Bloom-Shaped die on the laminated piece. Peeled off the adhesive backing on the cork and placed the cork piece onto the laminated cardstock. 

Made my own stencil using the adhesive paper peeled off the cork, a Stampin' Up heart punch & TH Distress Ink. Punched hearts on each petal of the bloom paper and then used TH Distress Ink to stencil color the hearts.
