Today is my dog Daisy's 11th Birthday. I rescued/adopted her from local dog shelter in 2014 when she was 7.
Celebrated her birthday this weekend when we took her to a restaurant, Lazy Dog, that allows dogs in the covered patio area. Daisy had beef & rice with vegs. I had a coupon for free dog meal. I enjoyed a delicious Bison burger.
Sun 8/5 I made her cupcakes using Three Dog Bakery mix and added ingredients: honey, water, oil & unsweetened applesauce. Shared cupcakes with friends & neighbors that have dogs. Sun I gave her a present, Treat A Dog Rug.
I put in request from Home Depot where I work part-time for day off for her birthday day and gave reason as 'family birthday' which was approved.
Today, on her birthday day, I took Daisy for a walk around the park this morning. Enjoyed relaxing in our pool wade-out area (we changed our pool spa to a wade-out area last month, we did not use/heat the spa much, 3 yrs ago the spa heating element stopped working and it would have cost more to repair the spa's heating element). Daisy did not go into pool until we had change to wade-out area and only goes in when we are in the pool.

ReplyDeleteSo fun! Happy Birthday :) to Daisy. Walter is 11 too. He had lost so much weight his ribs were showing and I didn't know how much longer he'd be with us. Finally figured out he is going through some mental issues and wasn't eating from his bowl. I now lay the food on the floor and he gobbles it up - have to still hold the water bowl, ugh! - but he's gained so much weight it's incredible. Gotta love them, right?! Adorable card too - it's perfect with the ball inside!
