Created this card with a Steampunk Lock & Key theme using many of my Tim Holtz items.
Embossed glassine with a Tim Holtz Steampunk embossing folder. Used grungeboard with the TH Mini Lock & Key Set dies. Used TH Dabbers Gold and then Copper and Distress Inks walnut stain & black soot on the TH Mini Lock & Key. Distressed the Lock & Key with TH sander and then applied a little more of the Dabber colors & Distress Inks. Used TH core'dinations cardstock and TH paper distresser on edges. Stamped sentiment "KEY TO MY HEART" on copper glitter cardstock using Staz On Jet Black and a Valentine rubber stamp that has a key & sentiment. When I applied the Staz On I did not apply to entire stamp and rubbed off the part that got on the key so I would just have the sentiment for stamping on the copper glitter cardstock. Used a Spellbinder Grommet tag for sentiment tag. Used TH long fasteners brads.
I liked how the grungeboard looked with the TH Dabbers & Distress Inks.
Discovered that the glassine does not take to adhesive so I applied the adhesive to the cardstock and then pressed the glassine on.

Like this key and lock - I think I have that in the Tim Holtz Die cut - misplaced my one key sizzix die - where do those the items go??????
ReplyDeleteLost items happen alot here. What I try to do is that after I make a card/creation I put everything away so that I do not misplace or throw out something in scrap paper stack. Had misplaced a bag of scrap purple cardstock and found it inside my glitter cardstock drawer.
