Used mostly Tim Holtz items in creating this Vintage Tag Card. Made the Tag removable. Used Sizzix BIGkick instead of TH Vagabond since the dies work in the manual Sizzix BIGkick machine.

Used TH Bubble Layering Stencil for first time. Not sure if you do this but I'll buy something and sometimes I'm not sure how to use it exactly so I let it sit & then forget about it. Well, that is what I did with the TH Bubble Layering Stencil. After using I like how it turned out.

I cut my tag using a TH Tag die. I taped the Bubble Layering Stencil over the Tag. Used TH Distress Ink tumbled glass on the TH Layering Stencil to stamp background. Distressed the edges of the Tag using TH paper distressing. I like the core'dinations white cardstock, Watering Can , I used because it has a blue base that shows up when you distress it. Always wondered why TH does not come up with a white cardstock when he has so many other colors.

Distressed the TH cardstock with TH sander before cutting the Umbrella Man. Learned this tip of distressing it with sander before cutting and that way you do not tear the ends of the image like can happen if you use sander after cutting.  Cut the Umbrella Man using TH die. Distressed the edges of the TH Umbrella Man some more using TH Distress Ink. Added some Glossy accents & liquid Pearls to Umbrella.

Stamped TH sentiment. Added washi tape.

Cut some ribbon & used Adirondack paint & TH Distress Inks on it to complement the rest of the distressed items. Added the distressed ribbon.

For card base & pieces I used 3 pieces of TH Paper Stash Vintage Shabby. Distressed 2 of the 3 pieces with TH paper distresser. Added the music piece since this image reminded me of 'Singing In The Rain.'

  7. This is another wonderful creation! I really like how you walked us through your process and I appreciated the distressing tips you included. I love how you added some "rain" to the man's umbrella and the color palette is a great choice! I also thought it was so clever to make the tag removable. And I laughed when I read about how you buy supplies sometimes and then forget them! I do that constantly, so I'm glad I'm not the only one. Fabulous piece and I'm so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
