First time cutting the record player image using Cricut cartridge Nifty Fifties. Added a wobble to back of record turntable for fun action.
My daughter bought her first vinyl record & asked if she could play it on my turntable. To her disappointment I told her my turntable connected to the regular speakers no longer worked but the all-in-one-unit that has a turntable, cassette player & CD player with built-in speakers works. The sound quality on the all-in-one-unit is not the best so we watched for a sale and found a wonderful turntable at Fry's. She has enjoyed playing the vinyl record she has & my vinyl collection. Vinyl has made a come back. I have bought vinyl at Half-Price Books and see that Fry's where we bought the turntable also sells vinyl records.

ReplyDeleteWonderful Project. Thanks for joining the Challenge. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to do an action wobble on the turntable! One of my teens just bought a record player and is extolling the virtues of vinyl-I don't think he gets that there wasn't anything else when I was growing up and that I've actually seen it before, lol! Glad you joined us at BBTB2 this week!

Great card - perfect for someone who is getting a vinyl record as a gift. Yes - I think it is making a comeback. I too, don't have much of a turntable left either - my grandma's foldable console with turntable has only one speaker that works and that needle probably does more damage than good. thanks for submitting your project to our Elvis birthday challenge at Bitten By the Bug2 this week
ReplyDeleteWell, that's just the cutest gift and card. I love the wobble and the whole theme! Thanks for sharing your talent at Fantabulous Cricut.

Melissa, this is an adorable "Rocking" birthday card. And you are right, our kids are fascinated with our vinyl albums too. Apparently it does not matter that the sound quality is not as good as CDs, LPs are just cooler!! HA
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at BBTB2 this week!!
